ZODIQ

Last updated: 10 August 2026

Your birth date, birth time and birth place stay on your device. They are used to calculate your chart there, and it is the calculated chart — not the birth details — that is sent to write a reading.

1. Who we are

ZODIQ (“the app”) is developed and operated by Ailancer OÜ, registered in Estonia. For the purposes of the GDPR we are the data controller for the limited processing described below. Questions, requests and complaints: dev@ailancer.com.

2. There is no account and no server of ours

ZODIQ has no sign-up, no login and no backend of our own. Everything you enter — your name, your birth details, your chart, your readings, your conversations and what the guide remembers — is stored in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see it, retrieve it or restore it.

One consequence is worth stating plainly: if you delete the app, all of it is gone permanently. Export your data first if you want to keep it (Profile → Export my data).

3. Your birth details

To calculate a chart the app needs a date, a time and a place of birth.

  • The place is resolved on-device to coordinates and a time-zone identifier. The city name itself is kept only if you asked to keep it; otherwise it is discarded once the coordinates are known.
  • The time is optional. Without it the app says so and leaves out your rising sign and houses rather than assuming a value.
  • None of these three ever leave your device.

4. What is sent when you ask a question

Readings and conversations are generated by a language model run by OpenAI, our processor for this purpose. When you ask something, what is sent is:

  • your message;
  • the calculated chart facts relevant to the question — planets in signs, houses, aspects, current transits;
  • a short profile line: the name you chose, your selected voice and focus areas, your relationship status if you gave one, and whether your birth time is known;
  • what the guide remembers about you (see section 5);
  • a summary of the recent conversation.

What is not sent: your birth date, your birth time, your birth place, your coordinates, and any city name you chose to keep. The model receives the result of the calculation, never the inputs to it.

OpenAI processes this under their API terms, which state that API content is not used to train their models. Their handling is governed by the OpenAI Privacy Policy. Data may be processed on servers outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.

5. What the guide remembers

So that conversations continue instead of restarting, the app stores short facts you have told it — a partner's name, something that happened, what you are working towards, how you prefer to be spoken to. These are kept on your device and are included in later requests to OpenAI as described above.

The app is instructed never to record a diagnosis, a clinical label, financial account details, passwords, exact addresses, government identifiers or sexual content. If you describe a difficult period it may keep that in your own words — “said they have been sleeping badly”, never “has insomnia”.

Everything remembered is listed in Profile → What your guide remembers, where you can delete any item or all of them at once.

6. Analytics

Product analytics are off unless you turn them on (Profile → Usage analytics), and are disabled entirely in builds without an analytics key. When enabled, we record which screens are reached and which actions are taken, along with your app version, platform, market and content language. We never send your name, birth details, chart, conversations, readings or anything the guide remembers.

7. Notifications

The daily reading notification is a local notification scheduled on your device. There is no push server and nothing about you is transmitted to deliver it. Permission is asked only after you have chosen a delivery time, and you can turn it off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.

8. Photos

The app asks for permission to add to your photo library, and only when you save a share card. It never reads your library, never browses it, and never uploads anything from it.

9. Purchases

Premium is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system and managed with RevenueCat. Payment details are handled by Apple; we never see or store them. The app stores only whether a valid entitlement exists and when it renews. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

10. Network access

The app connects to the internet to generate readings and answers (OpenAI), to check your subscription (Apple, RevenueCat) and — if you enabled it — to send analytics. It makes no other requests.

11. Children and young people

ZODIQ is for ages 13 and up. Nobody under 13 may use it.

Between 13 and 17, the app asks you to confirm that a parent or guardian agreed before it generates anything, and records when that confirmation was given. Our model provider requires that permission below 18, and data-protection law in the EU sets a consent threshold for children that member states place between 13 and 16.

For users under 18 the app also narrows itself: it will not store the “something you told me” category at all, so a difficult period a young person describes is never written down; and the guide is additionally instructed to keep answers age-appropriate, never to encourage secrecy from a parent, guardian or teacher, and to direct anything about safety or self-harm to a trusted adult or a local helpline rather than to astrology.

If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, write to us and we will help remove the data from the device.

12. Legal basis and retention

Where the GDPR applies, we process the data described above to perform the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b)), and analytics only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time. Because your content lives on your device, retention is entirely in your hands: it lasts until you delete it or delete the app.

13. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, delete and restrict the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The app implements the practical ones directly: Profile → Export my data produces a copy of everything stored, and Profile → Delete account removes it. For anything else, write to dev@ailancer.com.

14. This app is not advice

ZODIQ is entertainment and self-reflection. Nothing in it is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services.

15. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new “last updated” date, and material changes are noted in the app's release notes.
