FocusLancer — Bill Your Hours

Last updated: 11 August 2026

FocusLancer collects no personal data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Your clients, your rates and the hours you work stay on your device.

1. Who we are

FocusLancer (“the app”) is developed by Ailancer. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. If you have any question about it, write to dev@ailancer.com.

2. Data we collect

None. FocusLancer does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. We do not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking software of any kind. It contains no third-party SDKs at all.

3. Your clients, rates and hours

Project names, hourly rates, fixed fees, retainers, currencies, work logs and every recorded session are stored only on your device, in the app's own private storage. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We cannot read them, recover them, or restore them.

This is commercially sensitive information — what you charge, and which clients you charge it to — and the app is built so that it never has anywhere else to go.

Because your ledger lives only on your device, deleting the app permanently deletes it. Export a report before you do if you want to keep a copy.

4. Widgets and the Lock Screen

The widgets, the Live Activity on the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island are drawn by extensions that ship inside the app. They read the same on-device storage through a shared app group; nothing is sent to a server to render them, and no push notification carries your figures. The running timer keeps counting on the Lock Screen because iOS renders it from a start date the app already gave it, not because anything is being transmitted.

5. Reports and export

A CSV or PDF report is generated on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice — mail, a messaging app, Files, or a cloud drive you already use. The app does not upload it anywhere and has no destination of its own.

6. Notifications

Session and break reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device by the app itself. There is no push server involved, and no information about you leaves the device in order to deliver one. You can turn them off at any time inside the app or in iOS Settings.

7. Purchases

FocusLancer Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment details are handled by Apple; we never see or store your payment information. The app asks Apple whether a valid Pro entitlement exists on your Apple ID and stores only that yes/no answer on your device. Apple's handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Network access

The app connects to the internet for one purpose only: communicating with the App Store to load Pro prices and verify purchases. It makes no other network requests. There is no code in it that could make one.

9. Permissions we do not ask for

FocusLancer requests no access to your photos, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, location, health data or biometrics, and it does not use the advertising identifier. The only permission it ever asks for is notifications, and it works without that too.

10. Children

FocusLancer is safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, no data about children can be collected.

11. Your rights

Data protection laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and delete personal data held about you. Since we hold no data about you whatsoever, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or erase. You are in full control: your data is on your device, exportable as CSV or PDF, and removable by deleting the app.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.

13. Contact

Questions, concerns, or requests: dev@ailancer.com. We aim to reply within a few business days.
